Author Guidelines

  1. Scope and focus of the journal

The Technological Frontiers Scientific Bulletin (BCFT) is an open-access academic publication aimed at disseminating scientific and technological research results in the areas of computer science, telecommunications, engineering, information technology, technology-mediated education, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and technological innovation. The journal promotes original, rigorous research with academic, social, and applied impact.

  1. Types of accepted contributions

The BCFT receives the following types of manuscripts: Scientific research articles. Review articles. Reflection articles.

  1. Originality and ethical considerations

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under simultaneous evaluation by other journals. Authors must comply with the BCFT Ethical Policies, declaring true authorship, correct citation of sources, and the absence of plagiarism or self-plagiarism. All works will be subject to anti-plagiarism verification. The use of Artificial Intelligence tools is permitted only as technical support (stylistic editing, linguistic support, or preliminary organization) and its use must be explicitly declared. AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author of the manuscript.

  1. Evaluation process

All manuscripts undergo a scholarly peer-review process based on criteria of confidentiality, impartiality, and scientific rigor. The editorial team reserves the right to accept, reject, or request modifications to the submitted works.

  1. Manuscript presentation requirements

Manuscripts must meet the following requirements: Language: Spanish (abstracts in English are accepted). File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx). Length: between 10 and 20 pages, including tables, figures, and references. (Exceptionally, and taking into account the characteristics of the manuscript, a greater number of pages may be accepted) Font: Times New Roman, size 12. Line spacing: double. Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides. Consecutive page numbering.

  1. Manuscript structure

The article must contain, at a minimum, the following sections: Article title. Name(s) of the author(s) and institutional affiliation. Institutional email. Abstract (max. 250 words). Keywords (between 3 and 5). Introduction. Theoretical framework or state of the art. Metodology. Results. Discussion. Conclusions. Bibliographic references.

  1. Citation and reference standards

Citations and references must comply with APA Standards (7th edition). It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the bibliographic references.

  1. Tables, figures, and appendices

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, include a title and source, and be cited in the text. They must be submitted integrated into the manuscript and with sufficient quality for publication.

  1. Copyright and open access

BCFT is an open-access journal. Authors retain their copyright and authorize the dissemination of their work for academic and scientific purposes, in accordance with the journal's policies.

  1. Manuscript submission

Articles must be submitted exclusively through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) of the Technological Frontiers Scientific Bulletin, correctly completing the requested metadata and accepting the editorial policies.
