1. General Ethical Commitment
The Technological Frontiers Scientific Bulletin (BCFT) is committed to the principles of academic integrity, transparency, scientific rigor, social responsibility, and respect for copyright. All parties involved in the editorial process—authors, editors, reviewers, and institutional authorities—must comply with these ethical policies as a condition for publication.
2. Originality, Authorship, and Plagiarism
Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under simultaneous consideration by any other publication. BCFT does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or redundant publication practices. All works are subject to verification via anti-plagiarism tools and editorial review. Upon detection of ethical misconduct, the manuscript will be rejected or withdrawn, notifying the authors and, if necessary, the corresponding institutional bodies.
3. Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is permitted only as technical support (stylistic editing, linguistic support, preliminary organization of ideas, or exploratory analysis). AI cannot be credited as an author or co-author. Authors are fully responsible for the submitted content and must explicitly disclose the use of AI when applicable, guaranteeing the originality, veracity, and human intellectual authorship of the work.
4. Peer Review Process
BCFT applies a scholarly peer-review process based on criteria of impartiality, confidentiality, and methodological rigor. Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts evaluated. Editorial decisions are based exclusively on the scientific quality, relevance, and ethical consistency of the works.
5. Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation process, interpretation, or publication of results. Transparency in this regard is mandatory.
6. Responsibilities of Authors
Authors guarantee the veracity of the data, respect for ethical research standards, correct citation of sources, and compliance with these policies. In research involving human participants, authors must ensure informed consent and adherence to the corresponding ethical principles.
7. Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawal of Articles
If significant errors, ethical misconduct, or irregularities are detected after publication, BCFT may issue corrections, editorial notes, or retractions, following international best practices in editorial ethics.
8. Open Access and Copyright
BCFT is an open-access publication. Authors retain their copyright and authorize the dissemination of their work for academic and scientific purposes, respecting the license and policies declared by the journal.
9. Adoption of International Best Practices
These policies are aligned with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the guidelines of Latindex, DOAJ, and international standards for ethics in scientific publishing.
